The steel industry hasn’t changed in many years, but Kloeckner recognizes several opportunities to help it evolve into a place everyone will want to make a career. Safety will always be our paramount priority; we believe everyone deserves to feel safe at work and return home in the same condition they arrived. Talent acquisition and retainment are also at the forefront of our decisions. The future we’re building through our significant sustainability goals will greatly depend on us being able to hire the best and brightest from a diverse pool of talent. We understand that factors of equity and inclusion have been neglected for too long in this industry, and we hope to set the bar high for every business in it. With the right people, we’re certain we can exceed expectations for our customers and continue to build business partnerships that promote mutual growth for all parties.
We’re proud to house a 501c3 under our roof. KloecknerCares began as a way for employees to support the local communities our branches are located in and help people who need a little extra love through donations and volunteering. Our local branches have a history of helping collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, but this program takes our service to a different level. It feels good to roll up your sleeves and take care of others, and we’re proud of all the individuals in our ranks who make time to do just that.
We value workplace diversity because we believe that our differences make Kloeckner stronger and more successful. We want our workplace to be as diverse as the markets we serve, and we strive to cultivate an environment that celebrates differences and values each employee’s unique capabilities and contributions. We welcome applications from all motivated and qualified applicants regardless of gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, and sexual identity and orientation. We wholeheartedly reject any form of discrimination and intolerance.
Kloeckner is a proud supporter of the Association of Women in Metal Industries (AWMI) and has partnerships with various organizations to support our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.
Our Code of Conduct is at the heart of our corporate culture and defines our ethical approach to working with our colleagues, our partners, and our customers.
Our shared values encompass team spirit, communication, honesty, and respect. We believe that our success is a function of a positive, nurturing corporate culture and we strive every day to create an environment where contributions are valued, growth is cultivated, and new ideas are welcome. At the same time, we are customer-centric. Our drive to deliver the best possible product to our customers means we place a high value on business improvement, corporate transparency, and industry innovation.
We’ve joined our holding company in setting aggressive targets to transform our business and the impact it leaves on the planet. Our teams are focused on hitting net-zero controllable carbon emissions by 2040. Simply put, we believe that sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own.
