Kloeckner Metals Named a Top Workplace: Here’s Why It Matters

We’re proud to share that Kloeckner Metals has been recognized as a 2025 Top Workplace by USA Today for the fifth year in a row! This recognition is especially meaningful because it’s based entirely on feedback from the people who know us best: our employees.

What Makes a Top Workplace?

The Top Workplaces award is determined through an engagement survey sent to Kloeckner employees. The survey measures several aspects of our workplace culture, including alignment, execution, connection, and leadership. Participation is anonymous, which means the results are a true reflection of how our employees feel about working here.

Some of the topics we explored through the survey included:

  • Do our employees believe Kloeckner is heading in the right direction?
  • Do they have confidence in our leadership team?
  • Do senior managers understand what’s really happening at Kloeckner Metals?
  • Are we providing enough training, mentorship, and opportunities for people to grow?
  • Are our benefits and pay competitive within the industry?
  • Do employees have the flexibility they need to balance work and personal life?
  • Most importantly, do people feel appreciated, included, and genuinely cared about?

While the actual survey used statements to gauge agreement, these are the kinds of questions we’re constantly asking ourselves. We truly want to know how our people experience their work on a day-to-day basis. The recognition shows that, in many of these areas, we’re on the right track.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Stephanie leverages her background to craft impactful narratives that elevate awareness and engagement within the steel industry. Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with concentrations in writing and communication from American Military University.
