Kloeckner Metals Delivers 1300 Books to Elementary School

Roswell’s Kloeckner Metals Delivers 1300 Books to Esther Jackson Elementary Ensuring Every Student Will Have Books for Summer Reading

Kloeckner Metals, one of the leading metal distribution companies in North America and whose U.S. headquarters is located in Roswell, GA, delivered approximately 1300 books to Esther Jackson Elementary.  The company sponsored a book drive to ensure every student had at least one book to take home this summer. The drive was so successful, each of the 700 students will have two books to take home for summer reading. The books and a check for $500 were delivered by John Ganem, CEO for Kloeckner Metals.

This book drive was part of a new program recently initiated by Kloeckner called KloecknerCares, which enables the company to give back to those communities where their employees live and work. The program will also serve as a way for employees to get involved in local organizations and help those in need through donations and volunteering.

Individual branches can continue to support local organizations based on the needs of their communities, as well as come up with their own ideas of how to give back effectively. In 2019, Kloeckner Metals plans to identify a companywide charitable opportunity.

Ganem says beginning in the second quarter of this year, their headquarters will support several organizations and initiatives on a local level, which include:

Sponsoring a back to school supplies drive

Collecting donations for a men’s and women’s shelter
