We supply aluminum sheet for the automotive industry. The most common aluminum sheet grades for automotive include: 1100, 3003, 3004, 5052, 5251, 5083, 5182, 5754, 6005, 6016, 6022, 6111, 6451, 6082, and 6181. Each of these lightweight alloys satisfies industry safety standards and contributes a wide range of key characteristics for auto components like high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good formability.
Aluminum coil offers the necessary combination of being lightweight and durable required by the automotive industry. Various processes can be applied to aluminum coil grades. This includes stamping, etching, cutting, welding, bending, and fastening to other metal components. Aluminum coil can be painted, embossed, or mill finished depending on its ultimate application.
Advanced & ultra-high strength steels are engineered for vehicle frame and crash structures. These complex, sophisticated, and affordable steels satisfy automotive safety guidelines while also retaining a lightweight character that meets strict safety, emissions, and performance guidelines.
As part of the advanced high strength steel family, dual phase steel provides tensile strength and ductile properties, as well as good formability and dent resistance. These steels are characterized by a balanced ferritic-martensitic microstructure produced through controlled processing. We supply DP 780, DP 980, and CP 980.
Kloeckner Metals specializes in MS martensitic steel grades which boast some of the highest tensile strength levels (up to 1700 MPa) within AHSS and UHSS. These multiphase, majority martensite steel grades are often used in cross members, bumper reinforcement, and side intrusion beams. We supply MS 1180, MS 1300, MS 1500, and MS 1700.
