Kyra Ruper is a Turret Punch Operator. She came to Kloeckner by the recommendation of another employee and has found a family working here. Kyra likes hands on projects and appreciates the training she’s gotten. Listen as Kyra shares her experience with Kloeckner as a fairly new employee of 8 months.
I’ve been here eight months. I basically set up the machine to cut out metal parts for different factories, different places. I use dies, calipers, I do a lot of measuring. Another employee told me about it that I used to work with at another company. He talked so highly and good of this place, nice people working here and it’s the type of work I already did so that basically lured me right on in. Everything he told me was the truth and the difference between our old company and this company why this one was better.
It’s like another home in here. I enjoy coming to work. I like hands on stuff. I like to build stuff so this is perfect for me. I got good training here. I know a lot more than I knew before I came up in here. The trainer I had was very eager to help me, nice person too. I think it’s helped me for a better career because I’ve never done training. It’s always something new every day that I didn’t do the day before. If you’re willing to learn, they’re going to teach you everything they know. Everybody’s willing to help you in here. Nobody’s willing to see anybody behind each other.
