We honor Senior Master Driver Robert Holmes!

Even the most well-trained, safety-conscious professional truck driver is at risk of getting into an accident on occasion. Weather conditions or road conditions change and driving for a long period of time has great risk factors. In 2017, according to the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration, 4,657 large trucks were involved in fatal crashes, 56,422 large trucks were involved in injury crashes, and 102,973 were involved in towaway crashes.

At our Charlottesville branch, we honor our driver Robert Holmes for driving 1.21 million miles accident and citation free along with 20 years of safe driving. This is quite an accomplishment and is very rare among drivers today. Rob starts his shift as early as 4 a.m. and normally finishes no later than 5 p.m. He hauls a variety of loads which can make it more challenging as safety procedures may vary with each load. Rob keeps things under control by being aware of his surroundings at all times, being patient, and expecting the unexpected. Rob credits all his success to God as well as the training he received when he first started this job.
