Meet Michael Pedrali: Men and Women Building North America Series

Some people wear different hats depending on where they are. Michael Pedrali? He keeps it simple.Michael Pedrali - Men and Women Building North America

“I’m the same person outside of work as I am here,” he says. “Straightforward.”

It’s more than a personality trait; it’s a steadying force on the floor. Michael leads with calm, respect, and a ready-to-help mindset that keeps the day moving. At work and at home, he brings the same consistency: practical, dependable, and full of heart.

That mindset didn’t happen overnight. It was shaped by life experience and a major move that brought him to Kloeckner.

From California to Kentucky – And Finding the Right Fit

Originally from California, Michael made the move to Kentucky to give his family a fresh start. After relocating, he was looking for something closer to home, with the kind of schedule that would allow him to be present for the thing that matters most: his wife and kids.

That search led him to Kloeckner’s Brandenburg branch, where he now serves as Production Line Supervisor. The shorter commute was a practical benefit, but it’s the people, the work, and the environment that have kept him here.

Workdays That Run on Camaraderie

Michael’s day-to-day role revolves around keeping materials flowing and making sure operations stay on track. Whether he’s running a machine, helping a teammate, or prepping PVs for the next day’s orders, Michael is always ready to jump in where needed.

But for him, it’s not just about what gets done, it’s also about how you treat the people you’re doing it with.

“We joke around, we have a good time. It helps the day move,” he says.

That sense of camaraderie, respect, and support defines how Michael leads – and it’s something he learned firsthand.

Taking Lessons From Leadership

Michael credits a big part of his approach to work to his manager. “Being under Don’s leadership has taught me a lot of useful skills,” he says. “I’ve taken what I’ve learned from him and turned it into my own. It’s helped me keep my guys motivated.”

That kind of influence sticks with you. Michael has taken that example to heart, bringing patience, level-headedness, and support to his own day-to-day interactions.

He’s not trying to stand out or be something he’s not. What you see is what you get, and what you get is someone who shows up every day, supports his team, and brings good energy to the job.

Sports Are a Family Tradition

Michael’s values show up off the clock, too, especially when it comes to his daughters.Michael Pedrali

A lifelong sports fan, Michael grew up wrestling and playing football, and the lessons from those years – discipline, teamwork, and perseverance – still stick with him.

Now, he’s passing that energy on to his daughters.

It all started when he asked if they wanted to try T-ball. His oldest daughter was just four years old when she picked up a bat for the first time. She’s been hooked ever since. His younger daughter followed in “sissy’s” steps – until she found a passion of her own.

“She really wants to play soccer,” Michael says. “So now she does both – soccer and softball.”

Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines or signing them up for something new, Michael’s parenting style is rooted in support. “I tell everybody – just sign them up and see what sticks. If they don’t like it, no pressure. But if you start something, you finish it.”

Helping Build More Than Just Products

Michael is one of the many people working behind the scenes to help build North America. The metals he helps move support the industries and infrastructure that power our lives.

But just as importantly, he’s building something else: a life filled with presence and purpose. At work, he leads by example. At home, he encourages effort and follow-through. And wherever he is, he shows up fully.

That’s the kind of work ethic that makes an impact far beyond the shop floor.

We’re proud to have Michael as part of the Kloeckner family.
