The Amada EMK 3610 is an electromagnetic machine, the newest technology from Amada, it has punch capabilities both up and down. The EMK has fewer moving parts, uses less electricity, there’s no chiller so it doesn’t generate heat in the building. Learn more about the machine:

Kloeckner Metals is one of the largest metal distributors in the world. We’re very large in the United States. We have over 50 locations to service everything from long products, flat roll products, aluminum and stainless.

The Amada EMK 3610 is an electromagnetic machine. The benefits of this machine, 30 ton, 60 inch throat, it does have the brush bed and so that gives you the ability to also run the light gauge but up to maybe a little thicker material on those. The EMK is the newest technology from Amada, it has punch capabilities, both up and down. We have programmers up front that use the customer’s drawing or AutoCAD information to lay out the flat and write the program, assign the tooling, all of that’s fed to the machines through our in house computer system. We can still run the customer’s cosmetic material on this machine the same as seal the pre-paint without scratching it.

The EMK has fewer moving parts, uses less electricity, there’s no chiller so it doesn’t generate heat in the building. With the brush bed predominantly there we’ll run stainless steel or pre-paint. You might run highly cosmetic air conditioning parts, air conditioning unit so the cabinet for the air conditioning unit or maybe run food service parts there. Stainless steel food service, lighter gauge that are cosmetic that you wouldn’t want to scratch. We have eight EMKs in the building helping keep our cost down, it keeps the customer’s cost down and being competitive in market.
