Employee Stories: Patty Heidenrich

Patty Heidenrich is the Sales Manager at California Steel & Tube. She started working for the company as a young professional in 1986. The stability and family she has found here allowed her to marry and have her children. Patty started in the accounting department but moved to sales and loves it. She loves working with clients and providing answers to their needs. Watch her Kloeckner story:

California Steel and Tube also known as CS & T has been in the steel tubing business for the last 60 years and we go by the Kloekner name but we’re really known for California Steel and Tube. I started working for California Steel and Tube in 1986. I was a young lady coming into the accounting department. The personnel, the family feeling that you have in this company and the stability it provided allowed me to marry and raise my three children. Having the freedom and the flexibility, that’s been my 30 years so when I was on maternity leave, when I was staying home sick with my child, those are the things that are stand out to me.

I decided to move into the sales department and just loved what I did. I loved the product. I loved our customers and the excitement of servicing them and allowing them to be successful by fulfilling a need that they didn’t get from another supplier. It is just a joy to come to work and to say, “Hey, I’m gonna make California Steel and Tube that much more successful.” Because our product and our service and our people are great at what we do and we love what we do and we work so well together as a unit from the inside sales staff and the office personnel to working with everybody on the plant floor.” From our sitting personnel to our tube crew people to the mill operators to the exit side on delivery. That’s what I love about California Steel and Tube.
